Developing Inclusive Schools
Perspektiva, the World Institute on Disability and the Moscow Bureau of UNESCO invite you to participate in the Second International Conference “Developing Inclusive Schools” that will take place in Moscow, November 18-20, 2005 at the close of Inclusive Education Week.The first national conference, held June, 2004, brought together over 200 teachers, parents, activists, professionals, Ministry and Board of Education officials from Russia and the former Soviet Union. Support for this event is being provided by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), Russia.
We welcome educators, disability activists, parents, government officials, special educators and all those who are involved in promoting and implementing inclusive education practices.
Conference Goals:
The Conference aims to share international and Russian best practices on inclusive education and to discuss policies and legislation supporting inclusive education practices.
Participation Terms and Conditions:
Registration fee: $150 per person.
Participants will pay for travel and accommodations.
A list of hotels will be available on Perspektiva’s website after July 15.
In order to sign up for the Conference, you must submit a registration form by October 15. This form can be found on Perspektiva’s website - http://eng.perspektiva-inva.ru/?Register2005
When we have received your registration form, we will send you our bank details for a money transfer.
The registration deadline is October, 2005.
Presentations:
All presentations on best practices in inclusive education are welcome. Presenters and participants are also welcome to display stands and materials that will be useful to conference participants. Abstracts (1- 2 pages) or a description of your stand are to be submitted to by October 1, 2005. Conference organizers will notify all presenters by October 10.
