Christoffel Blindenmission International - CBM
Christoffel Blindenmission – the Christian Blind Mission - is an independent development aid organisation dedicated to serving eye patients, blind and other persons with disabilities regardless of nationality, sex or religion. Worldwide, CBM supports around 1,000 programmes in more than 100 countries. CBM has been involved in education and rehabilitation projects for deaf and hard of hearing people since 1973. CBM is also supporting programmes for the prevention of deafness, hearing impairment and deafblindness.

Deaf Africa Fund - DAF
DAF is a small need-responsive organisation set up in 2000 which has supported work with deaf children in Ethiopia, Tanzania and Somaliland. It relies on contacts and knowledge gained during the life of Initiatives on Deaf Education in the Third World.

Global Deaf Connection - GDC
Global Deaf Connection promotes social, economic and educational opportunities for Deaf people in developing nations. Based on the premise that education leads to opportunity, GDC was created to improve equal access to education and employment by closing the gap between the number of Deaf children enrolled in school and the number of Deaf adults in the professional world. GDC is currently working in Kenya, Jamaica and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Liliane Foundation
The Liliane Foundation provides access to medical and social rehabilitation to young people with disabilities (up to 25 years) in developing countries. This assistance, which includes hearing aids, is provided in collaboration with local contact persons through direct, small-scale and tailor-made help.

The International Deaf Children's Society - IDCS
The International Deaf Children’s Society (IDCS) was launched in 2002 as the international development wing of The National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS), a UK registered charity founded in 1944. The IDCS website aims to provide a global forum on childhood deafness in development. It contains case studies and articles written by professionals and individuals, details of hundreds of organisations working in the field of deafness across the world, as well as information about IDCS and its work. IDCS has a particular focus on parents.

Sense International

Woodford Foundation
The Woodford Foundation was established in 2004 in the UK to help improve opportunities – educational, social, environmental and spiritual – for all children and young people with a sensory disability in the world’s income-poor countries.
